I am advertising a PhD in glaciology at Newcastle University, with the One Planet DTP. Projects are funded, with research expenses, and are open for students to develop in line with their own interests.

This project would focus on the idea of glacier disconnections, the process of glacier and icefield fragmentation during thinning, and how this may affect future downwasting and recession. The project could include remote sensing, fieldwork, modelling, or a combination of these.
