Dear Team
this webpage is very interesting, I like it very much.
I am a polar historian and looked closely at the history part. One photo is not right. The woman with the parker is Edith “Jackie” Ronne who overwintered with another woman, Jennie Darlington, on Stonington Island in 1947. Both women went with their husbands down to the ice. Darlington was the first woman who became pregnant in the Antarctic, but she made it home in time to give birth. The Ronne-Filchner Ice Shelf is named after Wilhelm Filchner, German explorer 1911- 1912, and Jackie Ronne. I thought it is worth mentioning that.
