In this interview, Guy Paxman and Bethan Davies discuss the hidden landscapes beneath the Greenland Ice Sheet, and why this is important for understanding the polar ice sheet.
In this video, Dr Guy Paxman and Dr Bethan Davies discuss the exciting hidden mountains and valleys underneath the Greenland Ice Sheet. This landscape is covered by thousands of metres of ice, but radar allows us to peer beneath the surface. We need to know the bed topography if we are to work out how much ice is contained within the Greenland Ice Sheet and how the ice sheet may respond to climate change.
This video is suitable for UK Geography A-Level students studying Cold Environments and Glacial Systems and Landscapes.
