Ice sheet thinning on James Ross Island

We’ve just heard that we’ve been successful in our application to the Cosmogenic Isotope Analysis Facilty (CIAF) in Scotland at the Scottish Universities Environmental Research Centre (SUERC). Thanks, SUERC!

We’ll be trying to date ice-sheet thinning on the NE Antarctic Peninsula. Watch this space to learn more about cosmogenic isotope dating over the next few months, as I’ll be travelling to SUERC in the new year to help with the laboratory analysis of the rocks.
